Why We're Different

To the right are a select few competitors in the healthy restaurant space. Everytable is the most pertinent competitor due to their pricing model and emphasis on helping provide equal access to healthy food regardless of what neighborhood you reside in. Plant Power is an important competitor as a vegan drive-thru because they represent how the fast food industry is beginning to change. Rebol is almost a direct competitor in terms of the overall message regarding food and its contribution to health, but they lack the pricing advantage as well as the drive-thru. Tender Greens and Sweetgreen are included simply because of their influence on the fast casual health food scene. While they give back to the community, they are still not physically present in those underserved communities.

Food For Thought aims to be a combination of Rebol and Everytable, with the drive-thru aspect of Plant Power, and the reverence of Tender Greens or Sweetgreen.

What's the difference?

Food For Thought is different because of its connection to the community through neighborhood partnerships. We will partner with local restaurants to create collaborative dishes to be served at Food For Thought. The proceeds of these dishes will go directly to each respective restaurant which will not only financially support them, but also bring in new customers through advertising. Food For Thought will make it a priority to hire from within the community so as to try to avoid displacement of community members as well as to increase engagement. Convenience and affordability are also a key differentiator between Food For Thought and other restaurants because of our mission to provide healthy food for anyone who needs it, whenever they need it.
